23.01.07, Cannes ITN Source has signed a deal with music download service Wippit to provide video content from its extensive music archive for consumers to download.
Taking a mix of interviews and news pieces from ITN Source’s music catalogue, anyone can now download high quality video clips from one of the largest archives in the world through Wippit. ITN Source’s music collection spans the entire history of recorded music from the 1920s to present day including debut UK TV performances from Madonna, REM, Billie Holiday, Nirvana and the Sex Pistols.
ITN Source will supply Wippit with footage from ITN, Reuters and British Pathe including rare footage of the Arctic Monkeys in Leeds soon after their album hit the number one spot. ITN Source is delivering Wippit with career spanning interviews from some of the greatest musicians of the last century including the Rolling Stones, David Bowie and the Beatles. Wippit will also make available to consumers historic interviews and footage by stars from the thirties, forties and fifties at Abbey Road studios and elsewhere.
