ITN Productions produces 2016 Power Triumph Games on CBS for OurVetsSuccess

Ten elite military athletes will compete on expanded CBS Sports Network television series  

US Veterans organisation OurVetSuccess has commissioned ITN Productions to make the 2016 Power Triumph Games which will launch on CBS Sports Network on October 31.

ITN Productions will produce a three-hour TV mini-series on CBS Sports Network, and a one-hour CBS Broadcast Sports Special airing on November 19. The television series is preceded by an expanded video content series – also created by ITN Productions – featuring the stories of the athletes, coaches and character content. New content is being introduced online from now right through to November.

The series sees 10 military veteran athletes compete to win a $50,000 cash prize and prove they are triumphant. Each athlete has overcome a catastrophic injury, and demonstrates throughout the competition that their military training is at the core of their extraordinary ability to adapt, overcome, and succeed.

The 2016 Power Triumph Games are staged at the prestigious United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, where competitors face eight new and completely unfamiliar challenges that test their physical and mental capabilities. Many of the challenges are the same ones that West Point cadets need to complete in order to graduate. These challenges are not modified, and challenge the athletes to dig deep and show they can compete at an extraordinary level.

  • Isaac Francois, Navy, Gaithersburg, Maryland
  • Michael Gallardo, Army, San Antonio, Texas
  • William Hansen, Marine Corp and Army National Guard, Rocklin, California
  • Brett Parks, Navy, Jacksonville, Florida
  • Adam Popp, Air Force, Arlington, Virginia
  • Michael Roggio, Navy, Oviedo, Florida
  • Sadie Strong, Navy, Bel Air, Maryland
  • Tyler Wells, Air Force, Boca Raton, FL

The athlete team is joined this year by a team of Power Coaches. These coaches, all military veterans and employees of title sponsor Power Home Remodeling, participate in the games by supporting their assigned athlete with information, mental & physical strategy, tactical support and encouragement.

The Travis Manion Foundation, the Power Triumph Games non-profit partner, hosts a “Character Does Matter Challenge.” The challenge paired athletes with children from the West Point, NY, area inspiring them to complete physical challenges, coaching the youth through curriculum focused on character traits including honesty, teamwork, leadership, moral courage, integrity, and fairness.
