ITV News announced today that Noreena Hertz will join its line-up of experts as Economics Editor. She will lead all economics coverage, reporting and analysing the challenges of the UK economy and developments in international markets, across ITV’s full range of news programmes, appearing frequently on ITV News at Ten to discuss the economic developments of the day.
Of her new role, Noreena Hertz said: “I’m thrilled to be joining ITV News as Economics Editor, at such an important time in the lead up to and aftermath of the EU Referendum. It’s an amazing team of experts with a distinctive voice and I can’t wait to get started.”
Noreena is an experienced economist and bestselling author, who has advised world leaders and CEOs on economic, geopolitical and technological trends and business decisions. She has a wealth of experience writing and presenting research about national and international economic issues. Most recently her research has focused on the future impact on the economy and democracy of what she has called “Generation K”, 14-21 year olds. Her research has been presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos, at the Women in the World Economic Summit in New York City and has been featured in publications including The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Daily Telegraph, El Pais, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The Times and The Financial Times.
She is a popular keynote speaker and has given keynote speeches at TED, The World Economic Forum and Google Zeitgeist, sharing platforms with the likes of former President Bill Clinton and James Wolfensohn. As a commentator on TV and radio, Noreena has contributed to the BBC, CNN, CNBC, CBS, PBS and Sky.
