ITN Productions appoints new commercial and ops head

ITN Productions has appointed Richard Lawson as its new Commercial and Operations Director, it was announced today.

Lawson will be responsible for ITN Productions Advertising, Industry News, Education, News and Archive businesses which produce a range of content for brands, businesses, trade associations, publishers, producers and broadcasters in the UK and around the world.

Acting CEO, Bryan Martin, said: “We are delighted that Richard is joining ITN Productions as Commercial and Operations Director. Richard brings a wealth of commercial and creative experience, having held various senior management roles in his career, as well as a deep understanding of the advertising industry, which will be invaluable in developing our businesses.”

Richard Lawson added: “This is a fantastic time to be joining ITN Productions. I feel very lucky to be doing so. The sheer variety and quality of what it delivers across so many areas really excites me, and I’m looking forward to helping it grow and evolve even further.”

Richard has nearly 20 years’ experience in advertising. He spent 13 of those at BBH, leading business such as British Airways, Axe, Johnnie Walker and Barclays. He helped create several award-winning campaigns and rose to Managing Partner and Head of Account Management during his time there. More recently he has been Managing Director at two other London ad agencies – Anomaly and FCB Inferno – where he was responsible for their day-to-day running, as well as accounts such as Beats by Dre, Budweiser, the BBC and Huawei.
