ITV News has appointed Faye Barker as presenter of ITV Morning News. Faye is a well known television journalist having spent over 10 years in the industry and has presented for Sky News, Five News, ITV News, and Setanta Sports News. As a rolling news presenter she’s covered major international events including the Boxing Day Tsunami, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the search for Madeleine McCann.
She is also an experienced reporter covering a wide range of news and sport stories, and even turned her hand to undercover journalism for three series of the ITV1 consumer programme ‘Package Holiday Undercover’. Faye also has extensive showbiz experience interviewing major celebrities including Robin Williams, Russell Crowe and Hillary Swank.
On her appointment Faye said: ‘I’m delighted to join ITV News permanently having worked closely with the team over the past few years. I look forward to being welcomed into homes across Britain at breakfast time to deliver the latest news.’
