The Prime Minister has addressed EU leaders in Davos, telling them "tinkering won't cut it anymore".
David Cameron was speaking at the World Economic Forum and informed delegates that it is "now the time to show leadership", and that they must be "bolder" in order to deal with the economic situation.
He said it was a "perilous time" for Europe's economies.
Cameron declared: "This is not a moment to try and pretend there is not a problem. Nor is it moment to allow the fear of failure to hold us back.
"This is a time to show the leadership that our people are quite rightly demanding.
"Europe's lack of competitiveness is its Achilles' heel."
