Capello reaction: Former FA chief is "surprised not shocked"

Former FA chief executive Brian Barwick said he is "surprised but not shocked" at the resignation of Fabio Capello as England manager.

Barwick said Capello is "a proud man, a man of integrity".

Harry Redknapp is seen as favourite to take over. Barwick believes there will be a successor in place by Thursday afternoon.

The Football Association are holding a press conference at Wembley later.
