ITN Productions appoints head of news

Former Sky News editor Tami Hoffman has joined ITN Productions to oversee and lead the newly created ITN Productions News team which syndicates ITN’s on-the-day news footage to international broadcast clients, as well producing digital news feeds for online publishers and aggregators.

As Head of News within the Digital Content Services division of ITN Productions, Tami combines both editorial and commercial experience following a career at Sky News and the Press Association.  Her most recent role was as Head of Partnerships and Digital at Globelynx, a broadcast technology company generating global TV coverage for corporate clients.  Tami also has over a decade of frontline production experience in the newsroom and on location, and was Interviews Editor at Sky News overseeing high-profile guests across the channel.

Andy Williams, MD of Digital Content Services, ITN Productions, said: “I’m delighted that Tami has decided to join our talented and multi-skilled News team.  She brings a wealth of relevant experience to the role and will help us to review and refresh our offering for new and existing clients.  She joins us in the week of the General Election, so that should be an interesting induction!”

Tami said: “I am very excited to be joining ITN Productions at such a pivotal moment in news distribution. There is a real opportunity for ITN to capitalise on the growing demand for video content, drawing on the wealth of talent and assets at Grays Inn Road.”

In addition to syndicating ITN’s news content to international broadcasters such as CNN, ZDF, Al Jazeera and Channel 7 and providing broadcast facilities for these clients, the recently formed News division within ITN Productions is also one of the leading video news providers for digital clients.    The team have recently won a new multi-year contract to be video news producer for the Telegraph and other clients include MailOnline, MSN, AOL and Yahoo.
