The production of Setanta Sports News by ITN will result in 56 new editorial and production positions being created.The new roles will be based at ITN’s London studios as well as involving a number of video journalist positions based around the UK to cover sporting stories as they break across the country.
ITN will be responsible for all daily editorial content working closely with Setanta Sports and Virgin Media to deliver lively and entertaining coverage and debate of the day’s biggest sporting stories. Drawing on its editorial,production and broadcast expertise as the UK’ s leading commercial TV news organisation,ITN will provide breaking news and live coverage around-the-clock from its central London hub.
Setanta Sports News will focus on key sports including football,rugby,horse racing,cricket, golf,boxing,and motor racing. This will be a channel ahead of the game on every new development in UK sports. It will feature presenters and expert guests and viewers will contribute via phone-ins,emails,blogs and competitions.
