Ozzy top of the silliness charts

Ozzy top of the silliness charts

Hapless rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has been voted Britain's silliest celebrity.

The former Black Sabbath frontman has taken the coveted top spot from Tory toff Boris Johnson.

The Tory MP for Henley will be disappointed to have lost top spot but still managed second in the prestigious list.

The list, compiled from a survey of more than 2,000 people, contains some of the usual suspects. Jade Goody, who found fame on Big Brother after making everyone in Britain feel clever, can hardly be surprised to find herself on the list.

John Prescott, who is still somehow Deputy Prime Minister, can hardly be surprised by his inclusion after the tabloid grilling he has received in recent months.

Prince Philip, despite not being in the papers for any culturally insensitive remarks for a while, gets a mention.

Permatanned former Bargain Hunt presenter David Dickinson is at number ten, neatly sandwiched between jungle favourite Carol Thatcher and husband and wife team Neil and Christine Hamilton.

One surprise inclusion is Newsnight heavyweight Jeremy Paxman. He even manages to beat that other television heavyweight, Richard Madeley.
