Keegan fired up for talks
Kevin Keegan insists he is looking forward to meeting Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley even though he will probably be asked to explain his recent comments.
After a 2-0 defeat by Chelsea on Sunday, Keegan said it would be impossible for the club to break into the top four in the Premier League next season.
Keegan said: "I am going to talk with Mike Ashley. That's a good thing and I will look forward to that."
Newspaper reports have suggested Ashley is unhappy with Keegan's comments.
Keegan also said he does not expect to be given enough money during his three-year contract with the club to guide the club into the Champions League.
Newcastle chairman Chris Mort has explained Ashley has cleared the club's £100 million of debt since he took control last year.
Mort said: "Over the summer we will look to strengthen the squad further.
"In addition to making any immediate fixes that may be required, as with everything else we have done since Mike acquired the club, we will want to acquire players that can help make Newcastle United a top team for the medium and long-term.".
