Blue eyed, blonde heiress Paris Hilton has descended on Copenhagen to promote her latest range of handbags called "Confidence".

In her first visit to the Danish capital Paris said "everyone's been so welcoming, so nice and so sweet.

"Everyone was so beautiful and blonde and it's just so much fun here."

The 27-year-old has had her own range of handbags for the past eight years and claims they are essential to any outfit.

"I love handbags you can wear, you know, jeans with a T-shirt and wear a beautiful bag and it totally makes an outfit," she said.

"I think a bag is important, it's one of the first things I notice when I look at someone, I look at their purse."

Paris arrived in Copenhagen on Monday and has since been dining out and partying at the capital's exclusive spots, as well as taking time to meet fans and sign autographs at the Tivoli Gardens amusement park.

Paris said she loves the city and can't wait for a return trip.

"It makes me feel really happy to come here for the first time for everyone to make me feel so welcomed I feel like I am at home, so it's been a very nice trip and I can't wait to come back," she said.
