Bees make cross-border honey

Bees may be helping the diplomatic process in the Middle East.

Syria and Israel have been at war for nearly six decades, since the Israelis captured part of the landmark Mount Hermon.

Efraim Ezov's bees are making a sweet honey that crosses the divide as it is both Syrian and Israeli.

The insects do not respect the borders and pass between the two countries unhindered.

The dark honey they produce has a soft herb flavouring and is rumoured to have aphrodisiac qualities.
