Mr Bigby, from Hackney, east London, died from a single stab wound to the heart on May 12.

It is believed he and his friends clashed with a group of men after a drink was thrown in the fast food restaurant near Oxford Circus at around 4.45pm.

Costa appeared at the Old Bailey accused of murder.

He spoke only to confirm his name and plea of not guilty during the short hearing.

Judge Warwick McKinnon set a trial date for November 10 and the case is expected to last up to two weeks.

Costa, of Gainsford Road, Walthamstow, east London, was remanded in custody.
