Robinho close to Chelsea switch

Robinho's proposed move from Real Madrid to Chelsea is back on according to his agent.

The transfer stalled last week because Real refused to discuss selling one of their star players, but the deadlock was broken earlier this week.

"A deal is about to be reached" - Wagner Ribeiro

Real president Ramon Calderon confirmed Robinho is free to leave and the move appears imminent.

Robinho's representative Wagner Ribeiro said: "A deal is about to be reached.

"Robinho's time in Spain has come to an end. He is looking forward to being part of a new project."

The deal is expected to cost Chelsea around £25 million.
