Nicole Kidman has given birth to a baby girl.

A statement released on behalf of the A-list Hollywood actress and her husband Keith Urban said that the child has been named Sunday Rose Kidman Urban.

Her spokesman said that both mother and daughter were doing well.

The statement said: "Nicole and Keith Urban are delighted to announce that Nicole Kidman gave birth to a baby girl on Monday morning in the United States.

"Sunday Rose Kidman Urban weighed 6lb, 7.5oz.

"Husband Keith was by Nicole's side and mother and baby are very well."

The Moulin Rouge star has two other adopted children from her previous marriage to actor Tom Cruise.
