Wright-Phillips back at City
Shaun Wright-Phillips has returned to Manchester City after three years at Chelsea.
The England international winger joined the London club in 2005 and he was part of the squad that won the Premier League title in his first season but he was never considered a regular in the first team so he has decided to return to the club where he made his name by scoring ten goals in 34 games in the 2004/05 season.
Wright-Phillips said: "Obviously I'm delighted to come back to City and I just can't wait to get started again."
The 26-year-old has signed a four-year contract.
City manager Mark Hughes said: "I've always admired him and he's certainly been a target of mine since I came to the football club.
"To actually secure the deal and bring Shaun back home is a fantastic coup for us and I'm sure the supporters will be just as excited as we are to have him back at Manchester City."
