'United will recover from Queiroz exit' - Beckham
David Beckham believes Manchester United will soon overcome the loss of Carlos Queiroz after the Old Trafford number two was named as the new head coach of Portugal.
Beckham played under Queiroz at Real Madrid with the pair arriving from Old Trafford within days of each other in summer 2003.
The 55-year-old only lasted one season at the Bernabeu before being sacked and returned almost immediately to the Red Devils.
Queiroz was confirmed in his new role on Friday, but Beckham is confident United will soon find a successful replacement.
He said: "It will be someone I'm sure that will fit straight into it. Mick Phelan has been there for many years now and has done a great job but I'm sure the final decision will be the manager's and without doubt he picks well."
The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder has also ruled out the possibility of moving into management when he retires from playing.
The 33-year-old added: "Players who get into coaching academies want to go into management. I have never wanted to get into management at any stage of my career. It is not something I am really passionate about.
"When I finish my projects will be one of my main things. Working with kids and working with the academies."
