Teen held after Newcastle boy's stabbing

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another boy aged 16 was stabbed to death in the neck in Newcastle's West End.
Mark Smith died in the city's General Hospital after being found by ambulance crews in Elswick Road last night.

Roads around the murder scene have been sealed off while police officers carry out a detailed investigation.
Floral tributes have been left close to the scene.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "We are treating it as a murder inquiry.
"There were a number of people in the area at the time who may have seen what happened and we would urge them to contact us."
