All hot air in Israel

Israel has played host to an international balloon festival which saw balloonists from around the globe take to the skies blowing hot air.

The event took place in Timna Park in the resort town of Eilat and was the first time that Israel has played host.

Organisers said that holding the festival in Israel was a special achievement because much of the country has strict restrictions on usage of its airspace.

Some of the participants in the festival said they hope the spectacle becomes a yearly event.

Fourteen teams - both amateur and professional - took part in the three-day event.
