X Factor finalists Alexandra Burke and Diana Vickers have said they can't wait to meet their heroines Britney Spears and Leona Lewis.

The girls, who also include Laura White, are being mentored by Girls Aloud's Cheryl Cole, which they're delighted with, and are excited at the prospect of the first live show.

Diana said of Leona's forthcoming appearance on the show: "It makes us feel so excited.

"It shows you what you can get out of this competition and she's the biggest inspiration. She's done so amazing."

And Alexandra added: "I can't wait to meet her. Apparently she's going to be on one of the shows. I can't wait to meet her. Even if I'm not here, I'm coming back, just to meet her."

And when asked about Britney, Alexandra said: "Oh my God, I cannot wait. I love her to pieces!"
