Police bail 13 after fan violence
Chelsea fans and police were involved in violent clashes in London after the Champions League final.
Around 200 fans battled riot police near Chelsea's Stamford Bridge ground after Manchester United beat the west London side 6-5 in a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
Five police officers were injured in the clashes and 13 men were arrested for offences such as drunkenness, violent disorder and causing grievous bodily harm.
Fans threw bottles and blocked the path of a bus. The mob was broken up by officers from the specialist Territorial Support Group wearing "full protective equipment".
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Despite repeated warnings to leave the area the crowd of 200 remained in the area and police were under sustained attack from objects being thrown from the crowd for in the region of 30 minutes."
At one point, a car was driven at Fulham Broadway Tube station, leaving a 31-year-old man with serious leg injuries. He is being treated at a London hospital.
The 27-year-old driver was arrested and later bailed on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to provide a breath test.
All 13 people arrested following the match were later released on bail, Scotland Yard said.
Two men, aged 18 and 29, were bailed on suspicion of GBH and the others, all men aged between 18 and 34, are suspected of violent disorder.
They must all return to police station on dates in July.
