A Florida building site has collapsed "like a pancake", leaving workers trapped.

The garage was under construction when the incident occured on Wednesday, killing two builders.

One person remained trapped in the rubble hours after the collapse. Six emergency service crew members were with the person giving him oxygen as others tried to remove the heavy debris around him.

Another person who had been trapped was rescued.

According to the Miami Herald, several other people were sent to the hospital and some are still missing.

Police said it appeared that only construction workers were at the site since the garage was under construction.
