Sebastian Vettel has won the Japanese Grand Prix after a dramatic colision saw current table leader Alfonso Alonso unexpectedly exit the race.
The crash, which happened on the first lap, saw Ferrari driver Alonso bang wheels with Kimi Raikkonen causing Alonso to spin into the sand trap and retire from the race early.
Vettel dominated the rest of the race with as much as a 20 second lead.
He is now just four points away from the top spot, if he wins it would be his third sucessive title.
Home driver Kamui Kobayashi managed to beat Jenson Button, coming third and equalling the best ever finish for a Japanese driver.
