A proposal to rent out the house that Adolf Hitler was born in has been met with fierce opposition from locals in the Austrian town of Braunau.
"With which kind of attitude does one want to live here?", asked resident Harry Buchmayr, adding: "These are certainly people we don't want here and who are not living here at the moment."
The building is currently being rented by the city council, who have been looking for a replacement use for it since the day care centre it used to house moved elsewhere.
More popular proposals include turning it into a museum dealing with the Nazi past or a memorial.
"Now that we have this house, there should be something else inside. Something cultural. But apartments - I'm not for that," said Georg Hoedl.
