Wearing US army uniforms and delivering a message in English, the Taliban has released a video showing its preparations for an attack on Camp Bastion in Afghanistan.

The video, released after the September 14 assault, shows fighters preparing to storm the compound in a night attack.

In the battle which followed, two US Marines were killed and nine wounded, whilst six Harrier fighter jets were destroyed and two heavily damaged, in one of the worst attacks on the heavily fortified base in recent times.

All but one of the fighters was killed, the sole survivor was taken prisoner. The Taliban has since said it will release a full video of the incident.
