An actress, who stars in the film which sparked violent protests in the Muslim world, says she feels "sick" at being involved in the anti-Islam movie.

Lily Dionne claims she did not realise Innocence of Muslims, which was one of her first acting projects, was about Muhammad.

She says the film's producer seemed sweet and quiet, although now she feels "betrayed" by him.

The film has led to riots in parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Indonesia and Lily says she now fears for her safety.

"I've definitely been afraid. I don't know how this is going to spin, I don't know how this is going to turn out," she said.

"It seems like it's not getting any better."
