CCTV footage has been released of a gang driving into an Apple store in Temecula, California, before making off with iPads and iPhones.
The surveillance camera video shows an SUV being driven through the security gates on the store before a suspect begins picking up iPads and iphones from the display tables.
The raid was cut short, however, after the security gate fell down behind the vehicle, forcing the driver to smash his way back out of the shop.
Los Angeles man Equonne R Howard was detained near the Apple store a few hours after the break-in with the keys to the BMW used in the smash-and-grab in his pocket, authorities said.
The 22-year-old has since been charged with multiple felonies, all of which the suspect denies.
Three other men wanted in connection with the raid are yet to be identified.
