Clint Eastwood made everybody's day at the Republican Party convention in Tampa Florida on Thursday when he made a surprise cameo ahead of Mitt Romney's presidential candidacy acceptance speech.
The Oscar-winning director strode to the podium serenaded by the theme music from his classic western, "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" before warming up the crowd with a series of gags.
After launching into a bizarre conversation with an imaginary Barack Obama, he also laid into the incumbent president's legal background.
"You see I never thought it was a good idea for attorneys to be president anyway. I think attorneys are so busy.
"You know, they are always taught to argue everything and always weigh everything and weigh both sides. But I think it's maybe time, what do you think for maybe a businessman. How about that?"
He sealed off the speech to rapturous applause with a parody of his most famous catchphrase.
"Ok," he said to a cacophony of applause. "You wanna make my day huh? Alright. I'll start it you finish it."
As he said the famous words, "Go ahead," the crowd shouted, "Make my day."
