Amateur footage has emerged showing a stand-off between police and suspected gunman Thomas Caffall in College Station, Texas.

Caffall is alleged to have shot dead a police officer, Brazos County Constable Brian Bachmann, and a civilian at his home just two blocks from the Texas A&M campus.

Bachmann was reportedly attempting to evict Caffall when he opened fire. Three other people, including two policemen, were injured in the ensuing half-hour gunfight.

Caffall was shot and died shortly afterwards.

The footage was shot by army medic and neighbour Rigo Cisneros, an Afghanistan veteran, who could be heard pleading with police to let him see to the victims.
