House tumbles into river in India

Severe flooding has caused extensive damage in India's northern Uttarakhand state following a cloudburst.

Cameras caught an entire building falling away from a the road in Uttarkashi and tumbling into the river as shocked locals could only look on.

At least 2,000 people have been adversely affected by flash flooding, with a number of people killed and more reported missing.

More than 150 houses and two bridges have been washed away as flood waters ravaged the Bhagirathi River.

The local government has been trying to evacuate the area.

The arrival of the monsoon rains, which have been wreaking havoc in the north of India, is being welcomed by farmers in other parts of the country.
