Fire crews have been battling with wildfires in Oklahoma after 15 blazes have destroyed more than 120 structures and left a small town smouldering.
Authorities are questioning whether the fire was deliberately set as a 911 call reported a sighting of a man tossing a lighted newspaper from a pick-up truck.
The fire has escalated due to southerly winds and has consequently left the town of Luther without electricity or water.
No deaths have been reported so far.
Weather has reached scorching temperatures of up to 113 degrees resulting in extensive drought in Oklahoma and other states such as Colorado, Utah and Arizona.
