King Juan Carlos of Spain is sporting a bruised nose after falling over during a meeting with his top military brass.

The monarch was in Madrid reviewing troops when the accident happened. Spanish media reported that he did not experience any major injury as a result of the fall.

It is not the first time the monarch has been injured after he broke his hip in an elephant hunting holiday in April.
