An amateur video has captured the moment a bridge was brought down and washed away by floods in Beijing.

The steel bridge, situated near Shidu in Fangshan District, a southwestern suburb of the city, was washed away earlier this month.

Only the base of the bridge was left standing.

Beijing's heaviest rainfall in six decades has left 37 dead.
