Mobile phone footage has been released showing crowds fleeing an attack on a Dark Knight Rises showing in Denver, Colorado.

In the video, crowds can be seen walking out of the theatre, with at least one bloodied victim being led by police.

People can be heard crying in the background.

At least 12 people were killed in the attack, with dozens wounded.

Initial reports of a second gunman have now been dismissed by police.
