A chilling video of a teenage girl being stripped and groped by a group of 20 men in Guwahati, India, has caused outrage throughout the country.

The 19-year-old girl was molested by the gang after she left a bar, where she had been celebrating a friend's birthday.

The attack was filmed by a local TV station who broadcast the footage.

The shocking video has sparked nationwide protests, with one social worker, Shavita Laad, saying: "It speaks in volume about the moral degradation of a few sections of people and also, it speaks in volumes about the inactiveness of the administration."

The mob molested the girl for more than 30 minutes until a passerby and police rescued her.
