Tranquilized black bear falls from tree

Report by Sam Datta-Paulin

A one-year-old bear has had a lucky escape, after falling from a tree in suburban New Jersey.

The 238-pound black bear was tranquilized after being found up a tree in the town of Vineland, following a one-day hunt.

The stunned bear quickly lost conciousness, and fell out of the tree into a specially prepared net.

The youngster was taken to a local wildlife rehabilitation centre, and will eventually be released back into the wild.
