Taiwan's 'human flag' set for world tour

Wearing a t-shirt printed with the Taiwan flag, a man has turned himself into a human flag by balancing horizontally from a flag pole at Taipei's Liberty Square.

"The problems in Taiwan, such as its status in the world, are complicated. And that's when I started to think what I can do for Taiwan? Plus, I really love this country," said Liao Hong-lin.

The 29-year-old cyclist, who has nicknamed himself the "Taiwan Floatman," started his project at train stations last year.

Such is his passion for his country that Liao has also left his job selling bicycles, and is set to start a six month world tour as the human flag in July.
