Dark clouds gathered over the Euro 2012 Group D game between Ukraine and France on Friday night, as a thunderstorm saw the game suspended.
Just five minutes in and with no goals scored, referee Bjorn Kuipers ordered the players to go back to the changing rooms for their own safety at the Donbass Arena in Donetsk, as torrential rain and thunder and lightning raised fears over safety.
Within another five minutes, the stadium was almost deserted as fans fled the downpour.
However, within an hour the storm cleared and the game resumed. France eventually won 2-0.
