A fisherman in Mexico pulled in an unexpected catch earlier this week, a 2,000-pound great white shark.

The giant fish measured almost 20 feet in length and was accidentally netted in last week from the Sea of Cortez off Sonora state.

Fortunately for the man the shark was already dead.

Fisherman Baltazar Berrospe said: "It would have eaten me whole if it were alive."
