London Mayor Boris Johnson has said his thoughts are with "the victims of the families" of the fatal helicopter crash in Vauxhall.
The mayor and the Met Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe spoke at the Greater London Assembly early on Wednesday morning.
At the time the pair said "it was too early to draw any substantive conclusions".
It is now known two people were killed. One was the pilot, the other someone on the ground.
All fires have been extinguished at the scene of the crash on Nine Elms Lane.
Mr Johnson is expected to visit the site later on Wednesday.
