The headstone on Jimmy Savile's grave has been removed after his family requested it be taken away out of "respect to public opinion".
Savile's family said they made the decision to ensure the "dignity and sanctity" of the Woodlands Cemetery in Scarborough.
The memorial headstone, which bears Savile's image and lists his accomplishments, was dismantled by Scarborough Borough Council.
The removal of the headstone comes after Scotland Yard announced it would be looking at 120 lines of inquiry and possibly as many as 25 victims relating to the Jimmy Savile sex abuse claims.
