A 38-year-old man has died after being hospitalised with Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF).

The man, who returned to Glasgow from Afghanistan, was originally being treated at Gartnavel General Hospital's Brownlee Centre, which specialises in infectious diseases.

He was then transfered to the Royal Free Hospital in London.
