Boris Johnson has dismissed claims he could become the next prime minister, joking: "How could anybody elect a prat who gets stuck in a zip wire?"
The London mayor was referring to a recent incident where he got stuck 150ft in the air on a 1,000ft long zip wire at a London Live event in Victoria Park.
Boris was left hanging over the crowd for several minutes after losing momentum.
After being shown the footage during an interview on ITV1's Daybreak, Mr Johnson joked: "There you have got it, how on earth could you elect that guy? How could anybody elect a prat who gets stuck in a zip wire?"
When asked repeatedly by Daybreak presenter Kate Garraway if he fancied being prime minister, Mr Johnson said: "No, of course not, because I have got four years of Mayor of London ahead, perhaps this is the moment to knock this once and for all on the head?"
