Harry mocks Hunt over bell incident

Report by Rob Gillett

Prince Harry has teased Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt over his bell-ringing incident.

The pair were celebrating Britain's next generation of sports stars at a reception at Clarence House, in central London.

The Prince was referring to the moment when a bell Hunt was ringing flew off its handle, narrowly avoiding bystanders, during an event on HMS Belfast to mark the start of London 2012.

Speaking to the winners of the inaugural School Games, Harry said: "Because of your achievements, you have become role models - not just for your friends at school but for the next generation of British athletes.

"I urge you to pick up the torch - or, in Jeremy's case, the bell - and I expect to see your faces again when you stand on the podium at Rio and beyond."

Harry then joked: "Hopefully you'll grow and grow and grow and become very famous and we can beat China."
