Prince Harry failed to get a single shot in as he played basketball with students during a visit with his brother and sister-in-law to a college in south-east London.

His brother William popped in for a quick look just before the shooting began and may have prepared the hosts for what was to come, saying about Harry: "He's terrible."

The third-in-line to the throne spent about ten minutes watching teenage boys play a game before joining them for a chat, asking them about their favourite teams and players and if any of them were going to the Olympics.

He also asked if playing sport had cut the amount of time they spent playing video games, before cutting to the chase as the prospect of shooting a few hoops was raised, joking: "You think I should play with you? Dressed like this?"
