Adam Barker, the son of actor Ronnie Barker, has been arrested on suspicion of making indecent images of children.

Barker has been charged with five counts, after the 44-year-old attended a west London police station by appointment.

He is due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Tuesday afternoon.

The actor was first arrested in June 2003 and released on bail until the following year, however he failed to return, and it was thought he fled to France when he jumped bail.

In 2005, following the death of his comic actor dad Ronnie, officers said they would allow him to attend his father's funeral if he handed himself in.
