Mugly, a Chinese Crested dog, has been crowned the world's ugliest canine, at a competition in California.
With his snaggle tooth, hairless body and crooked eyebrows, the eight-year-old pooch was entered into the contest by his owner Bev Nicholson.
"I couldn't speak when they announced Mugly's name," said Bev, adding: "I didn't know which way to look. I was shaking as much as the dog."
Mugly fended off competition from 28 other contestants to lift the prize, which sees him win $1,000 in cash and a year's supply of dog biscuits.
Mugly stars in Mutt Ugly on Channel 5 in August.
