David Cameron will lead an all-star line up of political heavyweights all booked to face a grilling at next week's Leveson Inquiry, it has been announced.

The Prime Minister's appearance on Thursday will provide the finale of a bumper week of evidence that will include Chancellor George Osborne, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and former Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

They will also be joined by Labour leader Ed Miliband and former Conservative Prime Minister Sir John Major.

Deputy Labour leader Harriet Harman and Scottish National Party leader Alex Salmond will also give evidence to the probe into press standards and ethics at London's Royal Courts of Justice.
