The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have received what some may consider the ultimate accolade, having their wax likenesses created by Madame Tussauds in London.

The tourist attraction spent some £150,000 on each of the figures.

Kate is shown in the blue dress made famous in the pair's engagement photos.

The couple will join the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Harry and Princess Diana, among other high profile royals, at the attraction.
